Last year I was never homesick……call it a delayed reaction.
I’m ready to be done. I know many people here are seriously considering staying for a 3rd year, whereas I’m seriously considering quiting and going home right now.
Well…not seriously….maybe just semi-seriously.
I miss life. I miss my friends. I miss Tom.
I guess I thought I’d be a better teacher this year. However, I just entered my first four grades for my kids and the percentages have not improved from last year. I even tried my first real differentiated, remedial lesson and it didn’t make a difference. They aren’t getting the concept of distance and cardinal directions.
I need to get out more. I’m going to start traveling to different places in Texas and hopefully Mexico. That should knock me out of the rut of the last week.
