Today my friend Chris sent me a link for a feature slideshow on NBC Chicago called “Girls on the Gridiron: Pure Bliss“. Essentially it is Victoria Secret/Football cheerleader hybrid. I’m assuming the motviation is for the pleasure it brings men at seeing their two loves mixed…football and T&A.
As we conversed however, it became clear there are several uncomfortable aspects of this novelty. For example, what if someone breaks a bone or twists a knee? All that bouncing and delicate henie watching will obviously be tainted by a bone popping out at the elbow. And what about the dangers of underwires while playing football? Not only must it be extremely uncomfortable, but that’s a puncture wound waiting to happen.
Not to mention the wedges and chaffing from wearing thongs while playing football.
Makes me wonder…did they know what they were getting into? Fake grass rash has gotta be a killer.

I know a girl in the lingere bowl. She’s actually ridiculously strong and quite fierce. But I still can’t manage to take it seriously, and I don’t think she does either. Makes me want to smack an ESPN oogling man. Sigh.
Made me think of your tweet about men follow more men on twitter than women because as social media goes, it lacks the, um, visual incentive.
“henie”?
Lingerie Footbal? I have to say that i have never heard of that before but i think its definately worth more research.
