I very rarely have big exciting news, so when I do it must be shouted from the mountain tops.
1) My pain in the neck (literally) wisdom tooth has been extracted. It took a little under 5 minutes to decimate the infected tooth which had caused my jaw, neck and throat to throb in annoying pain. My mother and I, being paranoid of strange dentists, were apprehensive about allowing the local clinic dentist to operate, but after 3 minutes on the phone with my mother, all was settled. Now who can say that as a 23 year old, they’ve put the dentist on the phone with their mother? Only a woman who was raised by a dental assistant.
2) I have been accepted to my first graduate school, Arizona State University!! I know most of you thought I would get in anyway, but when you’re on the waiting end, it seems bleak. Now I have justification to move to Tempe, which will most likely be the ultimate decision. University of Southern California would be my first choice, but at $32,000 a year, limited dog-friendly, affordable housing, ASU seems like an extremely acceptable second choice.
So, YEY!
I also left a comment on Facebook, but congratulations! I am so jealous and would love to move to Arizona.
I’m sure you are going to LOVE it.
