I was reminded that since I’ve shot to stardom, I should update on a more regular basis. Unfortunately, there isn’t a whole lot to be life as of late.
Let’s see. New Years resolutions included:
Giving up gum (still going!)
Working out quasi-regularly (eh, once a week)
Working harder (definately better!)
My current project is to recreate the Alamo in my classroom. I’ll be spending my Thursday night cutting brown paper into building size shapes. Also this weekend I will be attending the rodeo, my first.
Oh! Exciting news. I attended my first ever dance competition this past weekend on South Padre Island. That was an experience. I was part of a make-up assembly line as well as a pom picker upper. The girls won 6 awards, including third place overall in the middle school division. 15 hours led to closer relationships with my students and a good perception of who the next Shakira is. The unexpected thing was the one very west coast, white cheerleading squad that traveled all the way from Washington State to compete in our tiny dance competition. Katie, given that we no longer see you on a daily basis, and have no idea what is going in your life, anything you post is interesting to us. We just like hearing what you’re up to. At least, that’s how I feel anyway.
