You know it is going to be a rough week when you start off Monday morning with the realization of all the things you haven’t done in your life.
I don’t remember how the thought started in my head. I think it had something to do with my friend Martha. Martha is uber-organized. Martha works 50+ hours a week, freelance writes, runs her own Arbonne business, is pursuing her masters and is planning a wedding…all at the same time. She is always on. Granted she gets very little rest, is constantly on edge and has an almost non-existent social life, but she has a high accomplishment rate.
Then this morning I was making my usual rounds of the facebook updates and noticed a string of comments on a friend’s status. He had mentioned something about not having enough time to really appreciate the amazing week. After a few questioning comments, he stated that the week was so interesting do to the number of incredibly fascinating people he had met. That made me think, do people find me interesting? I haven’t done much in my life. I mean, I recognize I’ve done more than most people my age, but then you look at my friends and classmates and it is slightly daunting. Compared to them I’m a bore.
Oh the trouble with making friends with only brilliant incredibly driven people. I wish some of that would rub off on me.
I think you’re brilliant and interesting, for what it’s worth.
I know what you mean though. I think about the same thing at times….and then I remind myself that EVERYONE is interesting in their own unique way. Sometimes it just takes longer for the true juiciness of an individual’s personality and character to show, kinda like peeling layers of an onion. Yes, I’m comparing a human being to a vegetable. How do ya like that?!
YOUUUUU?? A bore? I think not!
I find you incredibly interesting. There are not many people that I have a way of bringing up in conversation at least once a week. My mom, Fred, and YOU. You have taught me so much in my life, and I am always amazed at what you do!
Hope Naperthrill is just that. See you soon!
